Whitehorse United Church engages in our community in a variety of ways:
Reconciliation: Apologies for past harms and efforts to rebuild relations with Indigenous Peoples.
WUC in the World: Pursuit of social justice.
Environment: Efforts to protect life on the planet.
Drumming Workshops: Led by a member of a local First Nation.
Affirming Group: Our goal is to create a safe, respectful and welcoming space where members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities are affirmed as an integral part of our church family.
Laundry Project: A project that provided laundry money, lunches and fellowship at the local laundromat.
Refugee Sponsorships: Sponsorship of two Eritrean families.
Share the Spirit: Providing presents and Christmas dinner for local families in need.
Other Community Partnerships: These include a super/film-discussion program.
