Welcome to Our Church!

What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Minister - Frances Kitson

Frances started her ministry with Whitehorse United Church in August of 2023.

Originally from Vancouver she is excited to come to the Yukon after spending 2.5 years completing her ministry internship and learning about community, the power of small, and the beauty of prairie skies. (And, of course, the correct way of pronouncing "co-op.")

Particular passions in ministry include children and families, building trust and relationship, wrestling with challenging scripture passages, and creating a healthy culture around stewardship and money. She's also a member of the United Church General Council Theology, Inter-Church and InterFaith Committee. Frances is delighted to be back among mountains and forests, and loves salsa dancing, cheese, and her two cats.

We are delighted to have her here with her passion and exuberance.

What to Expect at a Sunday Morning Service

We welcome you to join us for Sunday worship!

Many churches have different “rhythms” of worship. We've prepared a page here on the website that describes what to expect at a Sunday service at Whitehorse United Church.

How to Donate

Whitehorse United Church welcomes donations. You can donate online using CanadaHelps.org, an online donation portal for Canadian Charities which will provide you with a receipt for your donation. (Other ways to give.)

We are set up to receive donations to General Funds, to cover general operating expenses of Whitehorse United Church and its programs. In future, we hope to identify and designate ways that donations can be more specifically directed.
